Skopje, 31 July 2021 (MIA) — Of the 5,315 people tested for the coronavirus over the past 24 hours, 81 received a positive result, the Ministry of Health said in a press release Saturday. Of the new Covid-19 cases, 27 were diagnosed in Skopje. New cases were also recorded in Tetovo – 25, Kumanovo – 9, Gostivar – 7, Kavadarci, Kichevo, Debar and Pehchevo – 2 each, Bitola, Strumica, Struga, Berovo and Valandovo – one each. In the past 24 hours, 12 people recovered from the virus: 5 in Tetovo, 3 in Skopje, 2 in Kumanovo, one in Prilep and one in Gostivar. At the moment, 525 cases are active nationwide, of which 171 in Skopje. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 976,710 tests, recording 156,380 Covid-19 cases and 150,362 recoveries. The death toll has reached 5,493. mr/
