COVID-19: 494 new cases, 474 patients recover, 12 die
Skopje, 30 September 2021 (MIA) – Over the past 24 hours, North Macedonia registered 494 new COVID-19 cases from 3,425 tests done in the country, 474 patients recovered and 12 people died from coronavirus-related complications, the Ministry of Health said in a press release on Thursday.
New cases were recorded in Skopje - 231, Kumanovo - 49, Veles - 31, Shtip - 24, Kavadarci - 23, Ohrid - 19, Kichevo - 17, Prilep – 16, Kochani - 16, Strumica - 12, Bitola - 8, Struga - 7, Tetovo - 6, Gevgelija - 5, Delchevo - 4, Negotino -3, Radovish – 3, Vinica - 3, Sveti Nikole - 2, Kriva Palanka - 2, Berovo - 2, Bogdanci – 2, Makedonski Brod – 2, Gostivar - 1, Resen - 1, Valandovo - 1, Kratovo – 1, Demir Hisar - 1, Demir Kapija - 1 and Makedonska Kamenica - 1.
Of the 12 people who died from coronavirus-related complications, six died in Skopje (aged 94, 78, 70, 68, 61 and 49), two in Kavadarci (aged 77 and 63), and 1 in Kumanovo (66), 1 in Ohrid (72), 1 in Kriva Palanka (59) and 1 in Makedonski Brod (74).
“Additionally, according to the registry of fatalities diagnosed with COVID-19 from the My Appointment e-service, 10 people were reported to have died from September 7 to 29,” said the press release.
At the moment, 12,087 cases are active nationwide, of which 5,536 in Skopje.
Since the onset of the epidemic, a total of 1,289,561 tests have been made, recording 191,408 COVID-19 cases and 172,653 recoveries. The death toll has reached 6,668.
