COVID-19: 476 new cases, 279 patients recover, 9 die
Skopje, 17 November 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 476 new COVID-19 infections after 3,145 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same period, nine deaths and 279 recoveries were registered, the Ministry of Health said on Wednesday.
Of the new cases, 208 were registered in Skopje, followed by Bitola – 45, Veles – 29, Prilep – 22, Kumanovo – 21, Kavadarci – 18, Ohrid – 13, Kochani – 13, Gevgelija – 13, Shtip – 11, Delchevo – 8, Berovo – 7, Strumica – 6, Negotino – 6, Radovish – 6, Tetovo – 5, Sveti Nikole – 5, Kriva Palanka – 5, Kratovo – 5, Demir Hisar – 5, Resen – 4, Gostivar – 3, Kichevo – 3, Vinica – 3, Valandovo – 3, Krushevo – 3, Probishtip – 2, Pehchevo – 2, Struga – 1, Makedonska Kamenica – 1.
Of the nine fatalities, two were registered in Skopje (aged 76 and 77), two in Kumanovo (65 and 73), one in Veles (79), one in Kavadarci (68), one in Shtip (88), one in Prilep (70) and one in Kriva Palanka (40).
Four more deaths were recorded from the My Appointment e-service, dated November 4-14.
At the moment, 8,455 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,436,695 tests, recording 210,447 COVID-19 cases and 194,625 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,367.
