COVID-19: 468 new cases and 11 deaths
Skopje, 2 October 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered Saturday 468 new COVID-19 infections after 4,295 tests were carried out in the past 24 hours. Citing Public Health Institution’s report, the Health Ministry said there were 11 fatalities in the same time period and 284 people who have recovered from the virus. Of the new cases, Skopje reported 227, said the press release. Seven people died in the past 24 hours, including two patients in Skopje aged 61 and 91. Kochani, Vinica, Kichevo, Prilep and Strumica reported one death each, said the Health Ministry, adding they all died in hospital. “Additionally, according to the registry of fatalities diagnosed with COVID-19 from the My Appointment e-service, four more deaths, dated Sept. 15 to Sept. 30, were reported in Bitola and Skopje,” said the press release. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has registered 192,288 confirmed cases and 173,332 people who have recovered. Death toll reached 6,694. At the moment, there are 12,262 active cases nationwide. A total of 1,297,190 COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far.
