COVID-19: 454 new cases, 308 patients recover, 9 die
Skopje, 29 September 2021 (MIA) – Over the past 24 hours, North Macedonia registered 454 new COVID-19 cases from 3,425 tests done in the country, 308 patients recovered and nine people died from coronavirus-related complications, the Ministry of Health said in a press release on Wednesday.
New cases were recorded in Skopje – 209, Kumanovo – 45, Shtip - 22, Kavadarci - 17, Prilep - 16, Veles - 15, Bitola - 13, Kriva Palanka - 12, Ohrid -11, Strumica - 11, Kichevo - 10, Kochani – 9, Sveti Nikole – 9, Kratovo – 9, Tetovo – 7, Gevgelija – 7, Resen – 5, Vinica – 4, Valandovo – 4, Negotino – 3, Radovish – 3, Makedonska Kamenica – 3, Gostivar – 2, Struga – 2, Debar – 2, Demir Hisar – 2, Berovo – 1, Krushevo – 1.
Of the nine people who died from coronavirus-related complications, five died in Skopje (aged 84, 79, 66, 62 and 57), two in Kumanovo (aged 63 and 30), and one each in Gostivar (64) and Kavadarci (80).
“Additionally, according to the registry of fatalities diagnosed with COVID-19 from the My Appointment e-service, seven people were reported to have died from September 3 to 27,” said the press release.
At the moment, 12,090 cases are active nationwide, of which 5,588 in Skopje.
Since the onset of the epidemic, a total of 1,286,091 tests have been made, recording 190,915 COVID-19 cases and 172,179 recoveries. The death toll has reached 6,646.
