COVID-19: 444 new cases, 225 patients recover, 8 die
Skopje, 27 October 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 444 new COVID-19 infections after 3,210 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same time period, 8 deaths and 225 recoveries were registered, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
Of the new cases, 187 were registered in Skopje, followed by Kumanovo-37, Kriva Palanka-22, Shtip-20, Veles-19, Kavadarci-19, Bitola-17, Tetovo-16, Kochani-16, Prilep-15, Ohrid-9, Strumica-9, Gevgelija-9, Negotino-7, Resen-7, Berovo-5, Sveti Nikole-4, Kichevo-3, Radovish-3, Probishtip-3, Struga-2, Delchevo-2, Valandovo-2, Kratovo-2, Bogdanci-2, Demir Hisar-2, Makedonska Kamenica-2, Vinica-1, Pehchevo-1 and Dojran-1.
Of the eight fatalities, two were registered in Skopje (aged 46 to 56), one in Kavadarci (74), one in Kumanovo (88), one in Kochani (84), one in Strumica (73) one in Prilep (71), and one in Tetovo (69).
Seven more deaths were recorded from the My Appointment e-service, dated from Sep. 9 through Oct. 24.
At the moment, 6,395 cases are active nationwide, of which 3,203 in Skopje.
Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,372,834 tests, recording 200,856 COVID-19 cases and 187,374 recoveries.
The death toll has reached 7,087.
