COVID-19: 436 new cases, 321 patients recover, 7 die
Skopje, 28 October 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 436 new COVID-19 infections after 2,732 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same time period, 7 deaths and 321 recoveries were registered, the Health Ministry said on Thursday.
Of the new cases, 203 were registered in Skopje, followed by Bitola-24, Kumanovo-22, Kavadarci-22, Veles-21, Shtip-21, Prilep-19, Kochani-16, Tetovo-12, Probishtip-9, Ohrid-8, Negotino-6, Sveti Nikole-6, Kichevo-5, Kriva Palanka-5, Delchevo-5, Strumica-4, Berovo-4, Gevgelija-3, Kratovo-3, Dojran-3, Gostivar-2, Radovish-2, Resen-2, Vinica-2, Valandovo-2, Demir Hisar-2, Struga-1, Krushevo-1 and Makedonska Kamenica-1.
Of the seven fatalities, three were registered in Skopje (aged 66, 69 and 86), one in Kavadarci (79), one in Ohrid (76), one in Demir Hisar (17), and one in Shtip (73).
Four more deaths were recorded from the My Appointment e-service, dated from Sep. 1 through Oct. 22.
At the moment, 6,499 cases are active nationwide, of which 3,258 in Skopje.
Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,375,566 tests, recording 201,292 COVID-19 cases and 187,695 recoveries.
The death toll has reached 7,098.
