Covid-19: 421 new cases, 13 deaths, 395 recoveries
Skopje, 14 October 2021 (MIA) – Of the 2,900 people tested for coronavirus over the past 24 hours, 421 were diagnosed with Covid-19, 395 recovered, while 13 died from the illness, the Ministry of Health said Thursday. Of the new cases, 211 were diagnosed in Skopje. New cases were also recorded in Kumanovo-32, Shtip-26, Veles-25, Kavadarci-19, Kochani-15, Prilep-13, Ohrid-12, Makedonska Kamenica-9, Gevgelija-7, Strumica-6, Kichevo-6, Kriva Palanka-6, Sveti Nikole-5, Gostivar-4, Bitola-3, Radovish-3, Berovo-3, Vinica-3, Demir Hisar-3, Kratovo-2, Bogdanci-2, Tetovo-1, Negotino-1, Resen-1, Probishtip-1, Valandovo-1 and Krushevo-1. Three people died in Skopje (aged 69, 74 and 86), one in Kratovo (88), one in Veles (75), one in Vinica (66), one in Kumanovo (64), and one in Ohrid (61). Additionally, five deaths between Sept. 6-28 were reported as covid-related, aged 67-94 from Skopje, Gevgelija and Bitola. At the moment, 6,602 cases are active nationwide, of which 3,308 in Skopje. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,333,204 tests, recording 195,963 Covid-19 cases and 182,473 recoveries. The death toll has reached 6,888.
