COVID-19: 417 new cases, 329 patients recover, 9 die
Skopje, 29 October 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 417 new COVID-19 infections after 2,964 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same time period, 9 deaths and 329 recoveries were registered, the Health Ministry said on Friday. Of the new cases, 155 were registered in Skopje, followed by Prilep-31, Kumanovo-26, Veles-26, Kavadarci-24, Bitola-17, Shtip-17, Kriva Palanka-14, Kochani-13, Tetovo-11, Ohrid-10, Probishtip-10, Radovish-7, Sveti Nikole-6, Delchevo-6, Kratovo-6, Gevgelija-5, Resen-5, Berovo-5, Demir Hisar-5, Strumica-3, Kichevo-3, Negotino-3, Vinica-3, Makedonska Kamenica-3, Pehchevo-1, Krushevo-1. Of the nine fatalities, two were registered in Skopje (aged 60 and 64), two in Kochani (45 and 64), one in Kumanovo (75), one in Tetovo (79), one in Shtip (66), one in Bitola (82), and one in Kriva Palanka (38). One more death was recorded from the My Appointment e-service, dated Oct. 24. At the moment, 6,576 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,378,530 tests, recording 201,708 COVID-19 cases and 188,024 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,108.
