COVID-19: 412 new cases, 395 patients recover, 12 die
Skopje, 1 October 2021 (MIA) – Over the past 24 hours, North Macedonia registered 412 new COVID-19 cases from 3,379 tests done in the country, 395 patients recovered and 12 people died from coronavirus-related complications, the Ministry of Health said in a press release on Friday. New cases were recorded in Skopje – 205, Kumanovo – 39, Kochani – 23, Kavadarci – 17, Bitola – 15, Veles – 15, Shtip – 14, Prilep – 13, Ohrid – 12, Strumica – 7, Tetovo – 6, Sveti Nikole – 6, Kichevo – 5, Gevgelija – 5, Radovish – 5, Kriva Palanka – 3, Gostivar – 2, Struga – 2, Delchevo – 2, Probishtip – 2, Kratovo – 2, Bogdanci – 2, Krushevo – 2, Demir Hisar – 2, Negotino – 1, Vinica – 1, Makedonski Brod – 1, Demir Kapija – 1, Pehchevo – 1, and Dojran – 1. Of the 12 people who died from coronavirus-related complications, five died in Skopje (aged 76, 74, 73, 60 and 56), and one person each in Kumanovo (aged 81), Veles (aged 85), Debar (aged 73), Delchevo (aged 59), Kavadarci (aged 85), Kriva Palanka (aged 67), and Tetovo (aged 64). “Additionally, according to the registry of fatalities diagnosed with COVID-19 from the My Appointment e-service, 3 people were reported to have died from August 25 to September 28,” said the press release. At the moment, 12,089 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, a total of 1,292,895 tests have been made, recording 191,820 COVID-19 cases and 173,048 recoveries. The death toll has reached 6,683.
