COVID-19: 411 new cases, 271 patients recover, 4 die
Skopje, 22 October 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia on Friday registered 411 new COVID-19 infections, including 198 in Skopje, after 3,209 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same time period, four deaths and 271 recoveries were registered, the Health Ministry said. Of the four fatalities, Skopje registered two, aged from 65 and 82, and one each in Kumanovo (74) and Probishtip (39). All patients died in hospital, said the press release. Moreover, three more deaths were recorded in the register of COVID-19-diagnozed fatalities according to the My Appointment e-service, dated from Sept. 31 until Oct. 16. At the moment, 6,107 cases are active nationwide, of which 3,082 in Skopje. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,357,742 tests, recording 199,057 COVID-19 cases and 185,931 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,019.
