COVID-19: 396 new cases, 207 patients recover, 14 die
Skopje, 29 December 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 396 new COVID-19 infections after 4,858 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same period, 14 deaths and 207 recoveries were reported, the Ministry of Health said on Wednesday. Of the new cases, 196 were registered in Skopje, followed by Bitola – 31, Prilep – 23, Gevgelija – 17, Ohrid – 16, Kavadarci – 14, Kumanovo – 13, Strumica – 10, Resen  - 9, Veles – 8, Shtip – 7, Kochani – 7, Berovo – 6, Valandovo – 6, Negotino – 5, Tetovo – 4, Kichevo – 4, Struga – 4, Bogdanci – 3, Makedonski Brod – 3, Sveti Nikole – 2, Kriva Palanka – 2, Radovish – 2, Krushevo – 2, Delchevo – 1 and Debar – 1. Fourteen deaths were registered in the past 24 hours, including five in Skopje (aged 68, 72, 74, 89 and 94), two in Prilep (53 and 64), one in Ohrid (87), one in Kumanovo (81), one in Sveti Nikole (71), one in Bitola (51), one in Veles (83), one in Strumica (61) and one in Berovo (78). All patients died in hospital. Four more deaths were recorded from the My Appointment e-service, dated December 17-December 25. At the moment, 4,971 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,586,033 tests, recording 224,134 COVID-19 cases and 211,228 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,935.
