COVID-19: 381 new cases and two deaths in past 24 hours
Skopje, 19 August 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia on Wednesday reported 381 COVID-19 infections, including 80 reinfections, after 1,131 tests were performed in the past 24 hours. In the same time period, 775 recoveries and two deaths were also reported, according to data of the Public Health Institute. Of the new cases, Skopje reported 173. At the moment, 2,478 cases are active nationwide, including 1,054 in the capital, said the Health Ministry. Two patients in Skopje and Ohrid, aged 58 and 67 respectively, died in hospital in the past 24 hours. Four more deaths are added to the death toll, registered from the period of Aug. 18 tp Aug. 21, shows the e-registry of Covid-related deaths. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 2,145,675 tests, recording 338,929 COVID-19 cases and 326,990 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,461.
