COVID-19: 375 new cases, 507 patients recover, 9 die
Skopje, 7 December 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 375 new COVID-19 infections after 2,744 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same period, 9 deaths and 507 recoveries were reported, the Ministry of Health said on Tuesday.
Of the new cases, 180 were registered in Skopje, followed by Prilep – 30, Bitola – 28, Kavadarci – 26, Kumanovo – 13, Veles – 12, Radovish – 11, Delchevo – 9, Kochani – 8, Valandovo – 8, Kriva Palanka – 7, Resen – 7, Ohrid – 5, Tetovo – 4, Makedonski Brod – 4, Gostivar – 3, Shtip – 3, Kichevo – 3, Demir Hisar – 3, Makedonska Kamenica – 3, Strumica – 2, Gevgelija – 2, Struga – 1, Negovitno – 1, Krushevo – 1 and Pehchevo – 1.
Nine deaths were registered in the past 24 hours, including three in Skopje (aged 62, 78 and 87), one in Kavadarci (60), one in Struga (83), one in Strumica (72), one in Kochani (59), one in Shtip (73) and one in Sveti Nikole (86).
Seven more deaths were recorded from the My Appointment e-service, dated Nov. 22 – Dec. 4, 2021.
At the moment, 5,627 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,488,688 tests, recording 217,775 COVID-19 cases and 204,474 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,674.
