COVID-19: 34 new cases, 47 recoveries, no deaths in past 24 hours
Skopje, 19 October 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 34 new COVID-19 infections after 598 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Forty-seven patients recovered and no deaths were reported in the same period, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
Of the new cases, 25 were recorded in Skopje, followed by Bitola – 3, Gostivar – 2, Prilep – 1, Tetovo – 1, Kavadarci – 1, and Ohrid - 1.
According to the e-registry of COVID-19 fatalities, two patients passed away, including one from Skopje (aged 72) and one from Prilep (aged 77), in the period September 17 – October 1.
There are 320 active cases nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 2,178,565 tests, recording 343,756 COVID-19 cases and 333,880 recoveries. The death toll stands at 9,556.
