COVID-19: 327 new cases, 325 patients recover, 12 die
Skopje, 17 December 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 327 new COVID-19 infections after 2,740 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same period, 12 deaths and 325 recoveries were reported, the Ministry of Health said on Friday. Of the new cases, 159 were registered in Skopje, followed by Kavadarci – 25, Prilep – 24, Bitola – 17, Gevgelija – 13, Ohrid – 12, Kumanovo – 9, Sveti Nikole – 8, Shtip – 7, Tetovo – 5, Veles – 5, Kriva Palanka – 5, Valandovo – 5, Kichevo – 4, Resen – 4, Strumica – 3, Kochani – 3, Negotino – 3, Krushevo - 3, Radovish – 2, Bogdanci – 2, Demir Hisar – 2, Gostivar – 1, Struga – 1, Delchevo – 1, Vinica – 1, Probishtip – 1, Kratovo – 1 and Makedonski Brod - 1. 12 deaths were registered in the past 24 hours, including six in Skopje (aged 57, 64, 72, 76, 85 and 86), two in Prilep (40 and 82) and one each in Bitola (67), Kavadarci (73), Kochani (72) and Makedonski Brod (70). Four more deaths were recorded from the My Appointment e-service, dated November 27-December 15. At the moment, 5,437 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,515,236 tests, recording 220,794 COVID-19 cases and 207,563 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,794.
