COVID-19: 308 new cases, 246 patients recover, 8 die
Skopje, 12 December 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 308 new COVID-19 infections after 2,643 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same period, eight deaths and 246 recoveries were reported, the Ministry of Health said on Sunday. Of the new cases, 155 were registered in Skopje, followed by Ohrid - 26, Bitola - 21, Strumica - 19, Kumanovo - 15, Shtip - 10, Kavadarci - 8, Prilep – 7, Veles - 7, Tetovo - 6, Kichevo – 5, Bogdanci - 5, Kochani – 4, Gevgelija – 4, Sveti Nikole - 4, Negotino – 3, Resen - 3, Vinica - 2, Struga – 1, Delchevo – 1, Probishtip – 1 and Demir Hisar - 1. Eight deaths were registered in the past 24 hours, including three in Skopje (aged 64, 67 and 86) and one each in Kavadarci (80), Veles (92), Shtip (68), Ohrid (84) and Strumica (66). One more death was recorded from the My Appointment e-service, dated Dec. 10, 2021. At the moment, 5,730 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,502,730 tests, recording 219,408 COVID-19 cases and 205,946 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,732.
