COVID-19: 127 new cases, 261 patients recover, 6 die
Skopje, 20 December 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 127 new COVID-19 infections after 1,766 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same period, six deaths and 261 recoveries were reported, the Ministry of Health said on Monday. Of the new cases, 90 were registered in Skopje, followed by Ohrid – 9, Bitola – 6, Shtip – 6, Kavadarci – 4, Strumica – 3, Prilep – 2, Resen – 2, Vinica – 2, Kumanovo – 1, Kichevo – 1 and Struga – 1. Six deaths were registered in the past 24 hours, including two in Skopje (aged 74 and 85) and one each in Kavadarci (78), Kichevo (84), Negotino (71) and Shtip (63). Four more deaths were recorded from the My Appointment e-service, dated November 22-December 18. At the moment, 5,377 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,551,730 tests, recording 221,411 COVID-19 cases and 208,209 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,825.
