COVID-19: 1,269 new cases, 848 recoveries, 14 die
Skopje, 15 February 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 1,269 new COVID-19 infections after 4,047 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours, as well as 14 deaths and 848 recoveries, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday. Of the new cases, 686 were registered in Skopje, followed by Tetovo – 75, Bitola – 65, Kumanovo – 61, Veles – 48, Gostivar – 44, Kavadarci – 33, Prilep – 32, Kichevo – 26, Gevgelija – 25, Ohrid – 20, Valandovo – 20, Negotino – 16, Resen – 12, Strumica – 11, Struga – 11, Debar – 9, Kochani – 8, Kriva Palanka – 8, Bogdanci – 8, Shtip – 7, Delchevo – 7, Radovish – 6, Krushevo – 6, Vinica – 5, Sveti Nikole – 4, Kratovo – 4, Berovo – 3, Demir Hisar – 3, Demir Kapija – 2, Pehchevo – 2, Probishtip – 1, and Dojran – 1. In addition, 162 of the total number of new cases (1,269) are reinfections. Fourteen deaths were registered in the past 24 hours, including four in Skopje (aged 53, 64, 84 and 85), two in Ohrid (75 and 88), two in Struga (71 and 84), two in Kochani (67 and 79), one in Delchevo (73), one in Kumanovo (74), one in Prilep (70), and one in Strumica (62). According to the Covid-diagnosed fatality registry, 11 people died in period Jan.30-Feb.12. At the moment, 10,095 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,852,018 tests, recording 288,750 COVID-19 cases and 269,862 recoveries. The death toll has reached 8,793.
