COVID-19: 1,261 new cases, 1,085 recoveries, four die

Skopje, 25 July 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia recorded 1,261 new COVID-19 cases after 2,989 tests were performed in the past three days (July 22-24), four deaths were reported, while 1,085 patients recovered, the Health Ministry said on Monday.
Of the new cases, 572 were registered in Skopje, followed by Bitola – 107, Kavadarci – 75, Prilep – 64, Ohrid – 62, Kumanovo – 54, Tetovo – 44, Veles – 36, Gostivar – 29, Negotino – 27, Strumica – 23, Struga – 22, Kichevo – 19, Kriva Palanka – 18, Resen – 16, Shtip – 15, Kochani – 12, Gevgelija – 9, Sveti Nikole – 9, Debar – 8, Radovish – 7, Kratovo – 7, Valandovo – 5, Berovo – 4, Krushevo – 4, Demir Hisar – 4, Makedonski Brod – 3, Delchevo – 2, Vinica – 1, Bogdanci – 1, Pehchevo – 1, and Dojran – 1.
Four persons died over the past three days: one each from Skopje (aged 69), Bitola (84), Prilep (80) and Veles (83).
According to the e-registry of Covid-related fatalities, two persons died in period June 26 – July 1.
At the moment, 4,305 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 2,108,611 tests, recording 323,425 COVID-19 cases and 309,761 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,359.
