COVID-19: 1,233 new cases, seven fatalities in past three days
Skopje, 8 August 2022 (MIA) - North Macedonia on Monday reported 1,233 new COVID-19 infections, including 284 reinfections, after a total of 3,561 tests were conducted over the past three days, on August 6-8. Seven deaths were registered in the same time period, the Health Ministry said citing Public Health Institute data. Also, three fatalities were reported after being registered between the period of July 17 and July 28. Out of the new cases, Skopje registered 516. Over the past three days, 1,450 recoveries were registered, said the press release. The number of active cases nationwide is 3,991. The patients who died due to Covid-related complications in the past three days in hospital were aged 91, 87, 82, 77, 92, 67, and 83. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 2,128,711 tests, recording 331,988 COVID-19 cases and 318,599 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,398.
