Courts short of 163 judges, says Judicial Council

Skopje, 17 April 2025 (MIA) - A Judicial Council analysis of job openings for judges in courts across the country has shown that out of 456 jobs available in line with the classification, 163 posts are vacant.
The Judicial Council members have urged the Academy for Judges and Prosecutors to release calls for new generations of judges and prosecutors or draft legal amendments towards this end.
Job positions for judges are currently vacant in Berovo (3), Bitola (11), Vinica (2), Veles (5), Gevgelija (5), Gostivar (3), Debar (1), Delchevo (2), Kavadarci (4), Kichevo (8), Kochani (3), Kratovo (2), Kriva Palanka (2), Kumanovo (11), Krushevo (3), Negotino (2), Ohrid (10), Prilep (11), Radovish (4), Resen (1), Sveti Nikole (1), Criminal Court-Skopje (16), Civil Court-Skopje (16), Struga (12), Strumica (8), Tetovo (10), and Shtip (7).
