Skopje, 23 March 2025 (MIA) - The Kochani Basic Court has told MIA that a 30-day detention has been ordered for 24 suspects within the investigation over the Kochani nightclub fire, which claimed 59 lives and left almost 200 injured.

The last three Kochani mayors are among the detained - Ratko Dimitrovski, Nikolcho Ilijev and Ljupcho Papazov - the last one resigning from the post a day after the tragic event.

The total number of individuals investigated in the fatal accident stands at 34, along with three legal entities, mainly charged with grave acts against general safety.
