Cost of living up in November: statistics
Skopje, 7 December 2021 (MIA) – The cost of living in November increased by 0.7% compared to October, while retail prices went up 0.3% in the same period, State Statistical Office data shows.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in November 2021, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in bread and cereals by 3.8%, food products n.e.c. by 2.9%, cheese and curd by 2.3%, meat by 2.1%, oils and fats by 1.9%, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and confectionery by 1.8%, wine by 1.3%, fish and seafood, beer by 1.2%, mineral waters, soft drinks, fruit and vegetables juices by 0.7% and spirits by 0.3%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price index in November 2021, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or chilled fruit by 7.0%, fresh or chilled vegetables other than potatoes and other tubers by 0.8% and milk by 0.3%.
Compared to November 2020, the cost of living in November 2021 jumped by 4.8%, while retail prices by 6.2%, State Statistical Office data shows.
