Corridors 8 and 10-d contract to be presented to MPs
Skopje, 20 April 2023 (MIA) - The Government of the Republic of North Macedonia said that government officials and members of the Committee on the Construction of Corridors 8 and 10-d, who are involved in the largest infrastructure project, will present the documentation and details of the contract on the construction of the corridors, in an appropriate parliamentary procedure.
 
 
The aim is for the MPs to be informed on the content and all the details of the contract on the construction of the two corridors, which are of their interest. The contract will be presented to all MPs who possess an appropriate security certificate.
 
"Corridors 8 and 10-d are the largest infrastructure project in the country thus far, the value of which is EUR 1.3 billion. The implementation of this project includes construction of four highway sections, with a total length of about 110 km. It is important that every institution participates for a fast and timely implementation of the largest infrastructure project, which is of strategic interest to the state.
 
"With the construction of Corridors 8 and 10-d, North Macedonia finally becomes a crossroads of the Balkans. Corridor 8 is a new economic and development impulse of the country, an opportunity for North Macedonia to be on the traffic and economic map of Europe.
 
"The construction of the two corridors means connecting the country with other European countries, increasing foreign investments, economic development, faster transfer of people and goods, developed tourism and, above all, safe and secure roads for the citizens," the Government said in a press release.
