Kochani, 31 January 2026 (MIA) - The Council of the Municipality of Kochani at its session on Friday gave unanimous approval to a memorial project dedicated to the 63 victims in the tragic fire at the “Pulse” nightclub in Kochani. 

The project, which is a result of the initiative taken by the citizens' association "16 March 2025 Kochani", was adopted with 19 votes in favour.  

According to the adopted project, the memorial will be erected at the requested location in downtown Kochani. 

Kochani Mayor Vlatko Grozdanov is authorized by this decision to set up a working body through a fast-track procedure, so that the project be completed by March 16, 2026, on the first anniversary since the tragedy at the "Pulse" nightclub in Kochani.
