Skopje, 7 September 2024 (MIA) — Out of the 19 wildfires reported on Friday nationwide, seven are still burning and three are under control, according to the Crisis Management Center on Saturday morning.

There are active brush and pine forest fires in the Municipality of Prilep, near the villages of Peshtani, Kokre, Kalen, Dunje, Bonche, Krushevica, Volkovo, Shtavica, Prilepec, Chumovo, Selce, Lenishte, Belovodica, Smolani, and Dren.

In the Municipality of Chashka, the Mukos mountain fire is still active near the village of Oraov Dol, burning grasses and scrub as well as a mixed pine and linden forest. The wildfire in the village of Omorani has been localized, and the wildfire in the village of Stepanci is under control.

In the Municipality of Petrovec, a brush fire is burning near the villages of Gradmanci, Breznica, and Katlanovo.

Brush, junipers and dry grasses are burning in the Municipality of Shtip, near the villages of Hadji Hamzali, Edeklerci and Toplik, and the Krivolak military training ground.

In the Municipality of Dolneni, there is a brush fire burning near the village of Desovo. 

In the Municipality of Prilep, a forest fire burning at Derven, and a forest fire is burning near the villages of Dren and Smolani.

Three fires have been brought under control: in the Municipality of Chucher-Sandevo's village of Tanushevci, at Ramno; in the Municipality of Krushevo's landfill; and in the Municipality of Delchevo's landfill.
