Skopje, 9 September 2024 (MIA) — Out of the 12 wildfires reported across the country on Monday, one has been put out, six have been brought under control, and five are still burning, the Crisis Management Center said.

According to the CMC, most of the wildfires in the Prilep region have been contained, except for the fires near the villages of Volkovo and Dunje. The fire near Data Center Prilep has been extinguished.

Wildfires are burning in the Municipality of Chashka near Stepanci; in the Municipality of Zelenikovo near Gorni Dejkovec; and in the Municipality of Lipkovo near Matejche.

The fires near the Municipality of Dolneni's village of Desovo and the Municipality of Berovo's Paruca have also been contained. mr/
