CMC: Missing cyclists found by border patrol
- Two cyclists who were reported missing yesterday on Mount Belasica nearby the village of Bansko have been found, the Crisis Management Center (CMC) said Monday.
Skopje, 8 April 2024 (MIA) – Two cyclists who were reported missing yesterday on Mount Belasica nearby the village of Bansko have been found, the Crisis Management Center (CMC) said Monday.
The cyclists were reported missing on Sunday at 4:50 pm to the Strumica CMC center by dialing the single number for emergencies, 112.
“A border police patrol was immediately sent, which got in touch with the two cyclists. Around 7:30 pm, they were brought to safety by the border police before nightfall,” said the press release.
The CMC also said that eighty WWI 60mm mortar shells had been found in a village in the municipality of Novaci. They were removed by an authorized pyrotechnician from the Bitola Protection and Rescue Directorate.
CMC in the press release calls on the citizens to dial 112 after coming across unexploded devices left behind from past wars and not to touch them or remove them to a different location.
