Skopje, 22 November 2025 (MIA) - The Crisis Management Center (CMC) said Saturday that heavy rainfall has resulted in flooded homes and agriculture areas, as well as landslides on roads in some parts of the country.

Rivers have swelled in the regions of Resen, Bitola, Demir Hisar, Prilep, Ohrid, Kumanovo, Kriva Palanka, Kratovo and Strumica, with public utility enterprises helping the local population, putting river barriers, pumping water out of homes and basements, cleaning drainage channels and removing landslides at local roads.

In Skopje, river water levels have also risen, but the situation is under control and no flooding has been reported thus far.

The Food and Veterinary Agency has urged the population in the flooded areas to be aware of food and water safety, as well as the health and well-being of animals.
