Skopje, 29 August 2024 (MIA) – A total of 39 wildfires were registered yesterday and of those, five are still burning, one fire was contained and the rest were put out, the Crisis Management Center (CMC) says Thursday. 

A combined forest is burning on a mountain between the municipalities of Dolneni and Chashka. Three bushfires are registered in the municipalities of Studenichani and Shtip. A pine forest is burning in the municipality of Lozovo.

The Galichica mountain fire, on the territory of the municipalities of Ohrid and Resen, has been designated as “under control.”
