Skopje, 12 September 2025 (MIA) — The Drisla landfill fire in Skopje is under control but two other fires are burning, one at Carev Vrv in Kochani and one along the Tetovo road to Popova Shapka, the Crisis Management Center said Friday evening.

Garbage fires near the village of Lokveni and at the Krushevo landfill were put out earlier in the day. Firefighters also put out dumpster fires in Shuto Orizari and near the Kumanovo village of Kolichko.

Several wildfires were also extinguished. Blackberry bushes were burning in the Novo Selo village of Mokrievo, dry grass was burning in the Veles village of Rashtani and a field was burning in the Lipkovo village of Lojane. mr/
