Skopje, 21 July 2025 (MIA) - Out of the 16 wildfires reported across the country, five were extinguished by Monday afternoon. Seven are still burning and four have been put under control, the Crisis Management Center (CMC) said.

The bushfire in the village of Nivichino in the Municipality of Vasilevo is still burning. There are forest fires burning in the village of Greshnica in the Municipality of Makedonski Brod and between the villages of Creshnevo, Lokvica and Krapa.

Active fires have also been reported in the Municipality of Resen, near the villages of Shurlenci and Ezerani; in the Municipality of Zhelino – between the villages of Cerovo and Grupchin; in the Municipality of Prilep – near the village of Shtavica, spreading toward the villages of Chumovo, Volkovo, and Prilepec and in the Municipality of Shuto Orizari.

Fires are under control in the following areas: near Nikolikj (Dojran), between Dzhidimirci, Krushje, and Ivankovci (Veles), near Simnica (Gostivar), and between Carevikj and Smolani at Radobilski Rid (Prilep).

The fires have been extinguished in the municipalities of Kumanovo, Staro Nagorichane, Brvenica, Gostivar, and Dolneni.
