Skopje, 13 August 2024 (MIA) – A total of 37 wildfires were registered yesterday across the country. Of those, 10 are still burning, six have been contained and 21 fires have been put out, the Crisis Management Center said Tuesday.

Wildfires and bushfires are still burning in the municipalities of Makedonski Brod, Pehchevo, Novaci, Resen on Galichica mountain, Kichevo, Plasnica and Kochani, said the press release. 

Of the fires that were contained, one was near the Negotino thermal power plant. Also, two landfills were set on fire in the municipalities of Delchevo and Lipkovo.
