City of Skopje to provide Mden 6 million to victims of earthquake in Turkey and Syria

Skopje, 8 February 2023 (MIA) - The Council of the City of Skopje decided at Wednesday's extraordinary session to provide financial aid of Mden 6 million to victims of the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria, i.e. Mden 3 million each for both countries. 

President of the Council of the City of Skopje, Trajko Slaveski, told today's session that the financial aid will be realized through payment of funds to the Solidarity Fund of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia.

"Funds under Article 1 of this decision are provided for in the 2023 Budget of the City of Skopje, within the contingency program. According to Article 3, the Mayor of the City of Skopje is responsible for the implementation of this decision. The decision enters into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette of the City of Skopje," Slaveski said.
