City of Skopje: Dragan Ilievski appointed new acting director of Skopje Zoo
Skopje, 3 August 2022 (MIA) – Dragan Ilievski has been appointed new acting director of the Skopje Zoo, said the City of Skopje.
“Ilievski has more than 20 years of work experience in management positions in the private sector. He is a graduate mechanical engineer at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, and has completed his master’s degree in economics,” reads the press release. Ilievski comes to the post following the dismissal of the former acting director Kristijan Stamenov. Stamenov was dismissed after police arrested members of the staff of the Skopje Zoo while slaughtering horses (twelve horses and a hinny) in auxiliary premises of the zoo to prepare meat for the carnivorous animals. Police filed criminal charges against six people, including Stamenov.
