Skopje, 21 May 2022 (MIA) – To celebrate its anniversary, which falls on April 29, the Cinematheque of the Republic of North Macedonia has handed over the Golden Lens Award to this year’s recipients, film editor Olga Lukovska Donchikj and film critic Blagoja Kunovski-Dore for their engagement in creating and promoting Macedonian cinema. “I’m beyond happy to have spent so many years to editing. During editing, each scene can be edited in many ways,” Lukovska-Donchikj told the event where she once again saw her editor’s chair, which is now being preserved at the Cinematheque. To Kunovski, who has served as both film selector and director of the Manaki Brothers Festival of Cinematographers, the award represents a conclusion of a major marathon-like stage. “The film is a visual art, of what the camera will do, a vision of an author,” he said amongst other things.
