Skopje, 6 January 2023 (MIA) – Friday’s traditional Christmas Eve (Badnik) celebration at the Skopje-based Cathedral church “St. Clement of Ohrid” sent messages of good health, well-being, joy and peace.
Skopje Mayor Danela Arsovska, Centar Municipality Mayor Goran Gerasimovski, this year’s Badnik toast-giver Ivancho Stefkov and godfather Mojso Mojsovski, as well as last year’s Badnik godfathers Dragan Spasov Dac and Aleksandar Mitevski addressed the event.
Mayor Arsovska congratulated the Orthodox faithful with a message to celebrate the day of Christ’s birth – Christmas with the family and loved ones.
“I wish you all to be happy, cheerful, to be in good health and love each other, to work on making this year better than the previous one, to overcome all the challenges that we had the previous year. May the whole year be beautiful and sunny as this day today. Good health, joy, well-being and lots of love in 2023,” said Arsovska.
Mayor Gerasimovski stressed that today’s Christmas Eve and tomorrow’s Christmas are holidays that bring us closer to our greatest wealth – our families, relatives and friends. He wished for the beautiful holiday days to be celebrated in love, peace and well-being.
Toast-giver Stefkov extended wishes for prosperity, less worries and most importantly, good health.
