Chief of General Staff Lafchiski visits army contingents deployed in Romania and Bulgaria

Skopje, 12 November 2025 (MIA) - The Chief of the Army General Staff, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, began Wednesday a three-day working visit to the Army contingents deployed in Romania and Bulgaria.
As part of his agenda, Lafchiski is scheduled to visit Army members serving in NATO’s multinational forces in Romania and Bulgaria, participating in the Forward Land Forces (FLF) operation. While in Romania, he will hold a meeting with the Commander of the Multinational Corps South-East, Major General Cristian Daniel Dan, and, at the invitation of Romanian Chief of Army General Staff General Gheorghiță Vlad, will attend the VIP Day of the “Dacian Fall 2025” military exercise at the Cincu training area in Brașov.
In Bulgaria, General Lafchiski will hold meetings with the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria, Major General Stanimir Hristov, as well as with the Commander of the Multinational Battle Group, Colonel Mattia Scirocco.
The Macedonian Army has been contributing to these activities since the end of 2022 with two of its units, which, together with allied forces, are part of the collective deterrence and defense system.
