Skopje, 6 November 2025 (MIA) - Prime Minister and VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski told journalists Thursday the question whether opposition parties DUI or SDSM have changes in personnel after the bad results at the local elections is an internal issue. What interests us, he said, is that we all equally care for the country.
“As leader of VMRO-DPMNE, I had a lot of external meddling when we were in opposition, and the period after the 2021 local elections. I am led by one old maxim that states: don't do to others what you don't want done to you. We are absolutely staying outside these processes, they don’t interest us, they are an internal issue of the political parties. Whether there will be any shifts or personnel changes in DUI, or SDSM – this is their business,” Mickoski said.
Mickoski stressed he is interested in all parties caring equally for the country.
“Sometimes we are in government, sometimes in opposition. We should care for the future of this country and the dignity of the citizens. This is my message, to both these opposition parties, since I can see there will be certain structural shifts there,” Mickoski said.
