Chair, 11 July 2025 (MIA) - The Municipality of Chair strongly condemns the incident that occurred between the Mayor of the City of Skopje, Danela Arsovska, and several people on the territory of the Municipality of Chair. Such actions are unacceptable and represent a serious violation of the norms of behavior in a democratic and civilized society, said the Municipality.

The Municipality further points out that it is important for the public to be accurately informed, i.e. that the event is not related to the institution at all.

"No employee or official of the Municipality of Chair was involved, nor present at the scene of the event," the Municipality says.

The Municipality of Chair, it adds, remains committed to preserving public order, respecting institutions and promoting coexistence between communities.

"In that context, the action falls under the authority of the competent institutions, which, in accordance with their procedures, will act with attention and responsibility, in order to shed light on the event and preserve public order and peace," the Municipality of Chair said.

Previously, the VMRO-DPMNE councillors in the City of Skopje said they condemn all types of violence, pressure and threats, urging institutions to shed light on the case, until the truth is finally revealed and the facts of the case that has stirred up the public are established.

SDSM also said it strongly condemns the attack on officials of the City of Skopje, urging the Ministry of Interior and the Prosecutor's Office to act immediately, take full responsibility for the lack of action that has enabled the attack, and conduct a thorough investigation so that perpetrators are brought to justice without delay.

DUI also strongly condemned the attack on Skopje Mayor Arsovska, noting that acts of violence, verbal threats and attempts to obstruct institutional representatives in carrying out their duties represent a direct attack on the democratic order and the functioning of the rule of law, and urging authorities to react immediately.
