Carovska: Gender equality can create future free of prejudice and discrimination
Skopje, 13 July 2021 (MIA) – Gender equality can create a better future, a future free of prejudice and discrimination. I believe that summit participants will adopt conclusions for a better world that sees no discrimination on gender, ethnic, cultural, social or other grounds, Minister of Education and Science Mila Carovska told the Virtual 2021 Global Girl Up Leadership Summit on Tuesday. Minister Carovska said the new primary education concept, which is set to launch in September, dedicates specific attention to shaping future generations who will respect diversity and jointly create a society in which everyone has a place, the Ministry of Education and Science said in a press release. Carovska urged girls to not doubt their leadership capabilities and follow the examples of many girls, such as summit participant Malala Yousafzai, a champion in the fight against gender discrimination and gender-based violence. The two-day virtual summit brings together movers and changemakers from around the globe committed to gender equality. The event is organized by “Girl Up”, a global leadership development initiative, positioning girls to be leaders in the movement for gender equality.
