Bytyqi-Djikic: Increasing region's competitiveness for faster integration in EU market

Skopje, 28 February 2023 (MIA) - Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi met Tuesday in Brussels with Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) Secretariat Director Emir Djikic, focusing on the CEFTA operations and its cooperation with the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) in the field of financial services, reducing bank fees, e-trade.
Deputy PM Bytyqi said the fundamental principle of regional initiatives RCC and CEFTA is to increase compenies' competitiveness and strengthen regional economies.
"No more time should be wasted. The faster we realize that the region must be competitive through cooperation, the easier we will integrate in the European single market," said Bytyqi.
The Deputy PM is taking part at the bilateral screening meeting on Cluster 2 - Internal Market, reads the press release.
