Bytyqi: Over 70 pct of projects within TAV Programme completed

Skopje, 18 May 2023 (MIA) - Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi visited Butel municipality on Thursday, where a new kindergarten is being built under TAV-funded Programme.
TAV Programme includes investments in infrastructure projects nationwide amounting to nearly €50 million following the postponement of the construction of the cargo airport in Shtip.
Deputy PM Bytyqi at today’s press conference with mayor of Butel municipality Darko Kostovski said that €580,000 have been allocated from TAV programme for the construction of the modern kindergarten to accommodate 100 children.
“The initiated projects from the TAV Programme have a 70-percent level of realization and are being carried out successfully nationwide. So far, 56 projects in 56 municipalities throughout the country have been completed, while work is currently underway on 25 projects, that are planned to be completed by year-end,” Bytyqi said.
He added that the construction of kindergarten in Butel municipality is planned to be completed in September or October this year.
“Infrastructure projects under the TAV programme are being realised, which are important for the citizens in these municipalities. We are strengthening the local infrastructure, and I am satisfied with the pace of implementing the projects,” Bytyqi said.
Mayor of Butel municipality Kostovski said that the current problems with the waiting list for enrolment of preschool children will be resolved, and whole process will really be eased with the construction of the new kindergarten.
He urged the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy to create job position systematization in the new kindergarten, but also to approve job openings in other kindergartens in Butel municipality.
