Skopje, 7  November 2023 (MIA) - Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi met Tuesday with Resident Representatives of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Istanbul and North Macedonia, Steliana Nedera and Armen Grigoryan, for talks on joint activities between the Government and UNDP in different projects.

Interlocutors discussed the National Development Strategy, with Deputy PM Bytyqi noting that a draft version of the law on the National Development Strategy has been prepared to be finalized by the end of November, and then adopted in Parliament.

"Participants in the meeting also discussed the Green Finance Facility programme, regarding which North Macedonia was selected among the ten best countries in the world, and is therefore to receive funds from the Joint Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Fund. Bytyqi and Nedera also addressed the technical details of the project that was successfully promoted on November 3, 2023," the Government said in a press release.

Interlocutors agreed that financial support from the programme will facilitate access to cheaper funding for small and medium-sized enterprise, including individuals and households for investments in renewable energy sources and energy efficiency solutions, adds the press release. ssh/nn/
