Bulgarian PM Petkov to pay official visit to Skopje on Tuesday
Skopje, 17 January 2022 (MIA) – Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski on Tuesday will welcome his Bulgarian counterpart Kiril Petkov after he arrives in Skopje in a day-long visit during which he will be accompanied by the Vice President of Bulgaria’s National Assembly, Kristian Vigenin, Foreign Minister Teodora Genchovska and Transport Minister Nikolay Sabev. Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani will be at the Skopje airport to greet the Bulgarian government delegation before the official part of the visit begins, including a welcome ceremony with top state and military honors in front of North Macedonia’s government. Welcoming the Bulgarian delegation, PM Kovachevski will be accompanied by Parliament Vice President Goran Misovski, Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj, Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani and Transport Minister Blagoj Bochvarski. According to the agenda, the government said, PMs Kovachevski and Petkov will hold a tête-à-tête meeting. Several separate meetings with take place, including Deputy PM Marichikj with Vice President of Bulgaria’s National Assembly, Kristian Vigenin, FM Osmani with his Bulgarian counterpart Genchovska and Transport Minister with his counterpart Sabev. Following on the agenda is a plenary meeting of the two delegations, chaired by PMs Kovachevski and Petkov before they hold a joint news conference. Also, PMs Kovachevski and Petkov at the MPs’ Club will promote the E-Registry for People with Diabetes project, which will be handed over by Petkov to Kovachevski as Bulgarian donation. Bulgarian PM Petkov is also scheduled to have separate meetings with President Stevo Pendarovski and Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi.
