Sofia, 15 September 2021 (BTA/MIA) – Bulgarian caretaker Prime Minister Stefan Yanev said Wednesday the cabinet showed a dialogue-oriented approach to the country's relations with North Macedonia in the last few months. Yanev said that the cabinet defended the national interest in a worthy manner, and assumed that the next caretaker cabinet would continue in this line in the coming months. Talking with its EU partners, the government spelled out and reasoned for the Bulgarian position so that conduct would not be based on bargaining but on a principled position and principled arguments. "We are talking about our common European family where any compromises made now may lead to many compromises in the future," said Yanev.
