Skopje, 28 February 2023 (MIA) - The Government adopted Tuesday the report on the reinstatement of the foreign correspondents of Media Information Agency - MIA and extension of the contracts of national correspondents.

The Government has tasked the Service for General and Common Affairs and the Ministry of Finance to secure funds through the 2023 Budget revision for continued operations of correspondents.

Due to lack of funds, MIA's network of correspondents was put on hold over the past two months. Communication of the MIA management with the Government resulted in the setting up of a negotiating team that reached a solution to immediately reallocate the required funds and reinstate the agency's network of correspondents through the budget revision in June.
