Skopje, 19 February 2025 (MIA) — The Ministry of Interior's Public Security Bureau director Aleksandar Janev met Wednesday with police officers that took part in a cross-border controlled delivery simulation exercise Tuesday, organized by the OSCE mission.

According to the Ministry of Interior in a press release, Macedonian and Greek police participated in the simulation exercise, which was aimed at upgrading the operational mechanisms and protocols for border cooperation.

The exercise also provided an opportunity for detecting ways of improving interoperability and sharing intelligence information, according to the release.

The Public Security Bureau head welcomed the holding of the exercise, saying that cross-border cooperation between the two countries' police forces was important both for improving bilateral cooperation and for building an integrated, common European border management system. mr/
