Skopje, 24 February 2023 (MIA) - The emailed bomb threats received on Friday by eighteen schools in Skopje and a school in Prilep were false, Ministry of Interior said after police checks found nothing.

“As soon as they were notified, police officers evacuated the buildings and bomb squads searched the premises. No explosives were found,” the Ministry of Interior said.

Eighteen schools in Skopje and a school in Prilep have received emailed bomb threats on Friday.

Schools received bomb threats over the past days.

On Thursday, the Education Ministry has instructed schools to switch to distance learning (online classes) on days when they receive bomb threat.
